ARE YOU IN THE CORRECT DIVISION?
At the beginning of the new season there is always a period of adjustment until everyone knows at what levels they can ride in the Regular division or must they ride in the Open division. Juniors (under 18 years of age as of Jan. 1st) can ride in whatever division they choose, but those of you who are Seniors (that is, 18 years of age or older as of Jan. 1), are now governed by the Participation Eligibility chart in your Omnibus. Please read it carefully. These are National rules, not Provincial ones and must be followed.
Sometime the errors are caught before show day and the riders changed to the correct division, but this isn't always the case. If you notice a mistake when the start times are posted, please make it known to the Secretary right away and hopefully it can be corrected.
BOTTOM LINE: It is the responsibility of the Rider to make sure that you are entered correctly.
When the events Secretaries are processing a couple of hundred entries, they sometimes miss things.
If you ride and pin in the incorrect division, you will not receive any points. It would be a shame to miss out on any of those hard-earned points, so if you are not sure where you should be, please contact Roseanne Corbett at roseanne.corbett@gmail.com and she will be happy to help you.
