2012 OHTA Year End Awards

Graham
Towers Sportsmanship Award
 This award is in memory of Graham Towers
and is presented to a member of our eventing community who has demonstrated
uncommon sportsmanship and integrity during the season. Candidates are
nominated by the membership, and the winner is decided by Mr. Towers' family
with input from the OHTA Board of Directors.
Rubber Ducky Award

This award (or sometimes awards) is
given to the rider who has displayed the
most spectacular fall in water during a competition!This is
a very prestigious award! If you are at an event and are witness to
someone who should be considered for this award…please let us know!
Un-Sung Hero Award

We've all been
to an event and seen someone, maybe a rider, a volunteer, an organizer or a
Mom, giving 110% all the time and no matter what, they are
smiling!!! These are the people we need to recognize! Please, let us
know who you think should be considered for this fantastic award.
Veteran Award


Breed Awards
Would you like your horse to be included
in our year end Breed Awards? It's easy to do! If you have a
registered Canadian Warmblood, a registered Irish Draught or Draught cross, a
registered Canadian Sport Horse, a registered Canadian Standardbred
or a
registered Thoroughbred who you will be Eventing at any level and you want them
to be eligible for our OHTA year-end Breed Awards you must register them to the
OHTA Awards Committee before the last show of the season. Register by using the
appropriate link below.
for Canadian Warmblood Breeders Association Award
This award is sponsored by the CWHBAand
is given to the owner of the high point registered Canadian
Warmblood in each division from Entry to Advanced. Only the top 8
point scores over the season are counted.
for Ontario Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Award
We would like to welcome a new sponsor to our Year-end Awards
line-up. Exclusively Equine Training and Sales will be co-sponsoring the
Thoroughbred Awards. Awards of
$100.00 will be presented to the top placed registered Thoroughbred in each
division from Entry to Advanced. The
winning TB horses must finish in the top 10 places and they, their owner and
rider must all be Ontario based.
for Canadian Sport Horse Award
This award of a beautiful trophy is donated by Beasley Farms on
behalf of the Canadian Sport Horse Association and is given to the owner of the
overall top placing OHTA registered Canadian Sport Horse for the year.
for Canadian Standardbred Award
This award will be given yearly to the owner of the top placed
Canadian Standardbred in each division in the Entry to Intermediate divisions.
for Irish Draught Society of Canada Award
This award is
given in partnership with Pairadox Farms to the owner of the top placing Irish
Draught or Irish Draught cross that is registered with the Irish Draught Horse
Society of Canada.
