I would like to take this opportunity to introduce

myself to you; my name is Jessica Phoenix and I am

honoured to be named as the new coach for the

Ontario Young Riders program. It’s a position that

I hold in high regard and I am thrilled to have the

chance to work with Ontario’s young Eventers as they

rise through the ranks of competition.

I believe that my involvement with our national team

at the Pan American, World Equestrian, and Olympic

Games has provided me with first-hand experience

and invaluable knowledge that I can use to teach and

grow Ontario’s Young Riders. My goal as coach is to

successfully create a pathway from the Young Riders

program to Canada’s national team at the three and

four star level. My passion for the sport of Eventing

is matched only by my desire to pass on what I’ve

learned to the next generation, which I feel makes my

partnership with this program a perfect fit.
